A free, self-guided stamping activity for all, inviting our visitors to bring home a keepsake from the exhibition Spinning East Asia Series I: A Compass in Hand. For CHAT Winter Programme 2021, design elements for the stamps are drawn from the exhibition’s thematic exploration of typography and textiles. How could the stitches of knitting be translated onto the grids of typography? Using stamps as an individual knitted stitch, swing by to design your own textile pattern on a gridded template!

Join us for a 45-minute guided tour led by a CHAT docent to engage closely with our seasonal and regular exhibitions while conversing with fellow visitors. Creative interpretations and constructive debates are encouraged; conversations on textile heritage and contemporary arts will be expected. Tours are free-of-charge, open to all and conducted in Cantonese or English. Walk-in registration is open to 4 participants and must be conducted on-site 15 minutes prior to the start of the tour.
