Storytelling with Pipli Appliqué
Create your own stories with pipli appliqué! Originated in Odisha, in the northwest of India, pipli is the technique of applying small pieces of colourful fabrics onto a fabric base, often to depict flora, fauna, mythological and religious idols. This traditional appliqué technique is a great way to recycle leftover fabric and to learn a range of finishing stitches to create a storytelling appliqué.
