Pangrok Sulap is an artist collective from Sabah, Malaysia. They use woodblock print as medium to illustrate their concerns about the environment, labour and community. They aim to raise discussions on social issues and awareness of the marginal groups in society. Performance is an essential element of their creative practice. At the final stage of making the prints, they will play original contemporary folk music and invite participants to dance together on the woodblock to finish the print. On 9th and 10th March, they will host workshops in The Hall at The Mills, inviting local audience to make a flag-sized woodblock print. Let’s make our flag together!
