This time, our crochet gathering includes a guided art tour, offering a fresh perspective on loss and transformation through the healing power of textile crafts.
The event begins with a tour of the exhibition Threading Inwards, led by representatives from the Hong Kong Council of Social Service, curator Wang Weiwei and artist Hu Yinping. Together, you will draw connections between art and lived experience, learn from life’s shackles, and look afresh at how community and traditional ritual support us in transforming separation, grief and loss.
In the crochet session that follows, you are free to create objects that remind you of happiness: a flower, a star, or anything else that brings you a smile. Piece together your vision of hope, or simply relish the joy of creating with fellow crafters. Stitch by stitch, we invite you to slow down, enjoy the moment and tune into your inner rhythm.
