We are Textile Culture Net!

CHAT’s Summer Programme 2022 We are Textile Culture Net! brought together 4 textile and art institutions from across the globe. In it, we highlight three past exhibitions presented by the ongoing international project Textile Culture Net; namely About ABOUT A WORKER (co-curated by Alessandra Tempesti and Elena Ianeselli from Lottozero), Common Threads (curated by Sjouk Hoitsma from TextielMuseum) and Your Things (curated by Marta Kowalewska from the Central Museum of Textiles in Łódź). During the Summer Programme, CHAT also presented a series of ongoing artistic collaborations for its Seed to Textile project with various local artists and community partners, working with themes of community and sustainability.

This catalogue presents the juxtaposed dialogues of works, projects and collections from CHAT and the three participating institutions above, as well as CHAT’s Seed to Textile exhibition. Presenting highlights of the highly collaborative creative processes from both projects, the catalogue is a photographic and audio-visual record of the gathering of talents, creativity and resilience on a local and international level.
