Create a unique T-shirt through the heritage craft of Indian block printing!
In this workshop, you will discover the rich history and cultural stories of India’s woodblock printing. You will also experience the craft yourself, learning basic techniques and the symbolic meanings behind the patterns.
With over 100 hand-carved wooden blocks and a wide selection of colours available on site, you will be free to mix and match designs and fully express your creativity. Artist Sunaina Bhalla will guide you to print your chosen patterns on a T-shirt and a handkerchief. After the workshop, you will take home unique, wearable pieces of art that blend traditional craftsmanship with personal style.
Experience level: No prior experience is needed. Suitable for participants aged 16 and above.
Materials: All tools and materials are provided, including a cotton T-shirt and a 38 × 38 cm cotton handkerchief
