From fabric printing to sewing and finishing, make your own pool bag for the summer!
In this two-day camp, children will try their hand at screen and block printing, create heat transfer designs, and use a sewing machine to complete a water-resistant tote bag. It will be a perfect summer companion – great for keeping things dry by the pool or on the shore, and even better for packing wet items after a swim.
Day 1: Create your own fabric
At CHAT Studio, participants will create unique all-over patterns using screen and block printing techniques on water-resistant canvas.
DAY 2: Sew your own bag
At CHAT Lab, participants will learn to draft a pattern, cut the fabric prepared the day before, and use a sewing machine to make a tote bag. They will also design and make knotted rope handles for the bag, from which accessories can be hung.
*Parents can drop off and pick up their children at CHAT Reception.
Experience level: No prior experience is needed. Recommended for ages 7–12.
Materials: All tools and materials are provided
Language: English with informal Cantonese and Mandarin interpretation
