The Potential Self: Patchwork Self‑Portrait Workshop
10% discount for CHAT members, 15% for CHAT Patrons.
How long has it been since you truly looked at yourself? This patchwork portrait workshop invites you to wander through art, sensation and imagination – engaging in a dialogue with your self-image and inner feelings.
Led by Hong Kong artist IV Chan alongside registered expressive arts therapist Canna Tang, you’ll be guided through music and body awareness to awaken feeling. As you learn to use grid-based image construction to create a personal artwork, you’ll also come to know your body, potential and emotions. Fabric, colour and texture become your language of self-exploration, weaving together into a portable portrait that’s uniquely yours, a creation and a strength you can carry back into your everyday life.
Experience level: No prior experience is needed. Suitable for participants aged 12 or above
Materials: All tools and materials are provided
Language: Cantonese with informal English interpretation
*Expressive arts therapy integrates visual arts, music, movement and drama to foster emotional awareness and mind‑body connection, focusing on expression and exploration in the creative process.
