Yee I-Lann: Until We Hug Again

The exhibition catalogue of Yee I-Lann: Until We Hug Again brings together image and text in a colourful summary of CHAT’s Summer Programme 2021.

Yee I-Lann: Until We Hug Again is the first solo exhibition in Hong Kong of Yee I-Lann, an internationally acclaimed contemporary artist from Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia. In her thoughtful and highly collaborative artistic practice with female weavers in Sabah communities, Yee sheds light on the power dynamics within the Southeast Asian Archipelago and the region’s intricate multi-ethnic cultural identity and heritage. This catalogue records the display of her remarkable works at CHAT, many of which embody Yee I-Lann’s collaborations with her immediate communities in Sabah as well as cross-cultural exchanges with communities in Hong Kong.

Ticketing Arrangements on Weekends and Public Holidays

To ensure a safe and pleasant experience for all, CHAT will implement timed admission arrangements on weekends and public holidays until further notice.

Free Ticket distribution begins 30 minutes before each session outside CHAT Shop (G01A). Each person may collect up to 4 tickets. Tickets are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis, while stocks last.

Visiting sessions and ticket distribution times are as follows:

1️⃣ 11:00am – 12:45pm
Distribution starts at 10:30am

2️⃣ 1:00pm – 2:45pm
Distribution starts at 12:30pm

3️⃣ 3:00pm – 4:45pm
Distribution starts at 2:30pm

4️⃣ 5:00pm – 7:00pm
Distribution starts at 4:30pm
