Jakkai Siributr: Everybody Wanna Be Happy
CHAT’s Winter Programme 2023 Jakkai Siributr: Everybody Wanna Be Happy was the first retrospective of Jakkai Siributr to take place outside Thailand. Spanning two decades of his artistic career, it featured his wall-hangings and sculptural pieces, as well as the community initiatives he led in Thailand and abroad.
This catalogue includes photographs of artworks, an exhibition documentary, a conversation between the artist and Takahashi Mizuki, the curator of the exhibition and CHAT’s Executive Director, and a perceptive essay on the artist’s creative journey. It offers a deep and insightful look into Siributr’s artistic development while enquiring into the conditions of happiness through his works.
