Make Your Own Yarn & Crochet
Reuse – don’t dump! Learn how to make yarn from old T-shirts.
We all have too many T-shirts in our closets that we don’t wear anymore. In this workshop, participants will learn how to upcycle old T-shirts into yarn balls that they can use as Christmas tree decorations or crochet into lots of items. These are perfect eco-friendly gifts for friends and family! Invite a friend or more to enjoy a group discount!
Materials: Participants are required to bring one old T-shirt to be repurposed into yarn, solid colours and lightweight materials are preferred for better effect and ease of cutting; all other materials for use during workshop will be provided.
Experience Level: This activity is better suited for participants with some crocheting experience but welcomes beginners aged 12 or above
A CHAT Crochet Kit (2 crochet needle, 2 to 3 colours of embroidery floss) will be available for purchase on the day of the workshop to take home at HK$80.
