Kwok Hang Lin (Auntie Hang) is a retired sewing worker with over 40 years of sewing experience. In this workshop, she will teach participants the basic structure and operations of a sewing machine. Participants will design and sew their own patterns onto a shoulder bag using simple straight and curved lines. They will also learn to make a lining layer, a strap and sew on a shank button as accessory items for the bag. Participants are invited to chat with Auntie Hang to hear her stories about working in a garment factory. At the end of the workshop, participant will take home a self-sewn shoulder bag.
