Neesha JHAVERI
Neesha Jhaveri is a Hong Kong–based choreographer, performer, and teacher whose practice is rooted in the Indian classical dance form of Kathak for over four decades. Originating from North Indian temple storytelling traditions, Kathak is renowned for its mathematical precision, graceful fluidity, and profound emotional depth.
Jhaveri found the Sri Shakti Academy in 2013 to teach traditional Indian dance and actively participating in diverse artistic production. She has participated at various events including the Asia Ethnic Cultural Festival (2017 – 2019) , Harbin Ice Festival (2014), and India’s 69th, 70th and 71st Republic Day celebrations hosted by the Indian Consulate in Hong Kong.
Jhaveri has performed internationally across India, Africa, the USA, China and received accolades include the 1995 National Scholarship from the Government of India and recognition as a Doordarshan graded artist for her artistic excellence.
