Angie C. Baecker

Angie C. Baecker is Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Chinese History and Culture at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Her research focuses on the cultural and material history of modern China, particularly the socialist period in the People’s Republic of China. She holds a PhD in modern Chinese cultural studies from the University of Michigan and an MA in Chinese literature from Tsinghua University. She is currently working on a book manuscript about mass art practice in socialist China.
