Alice MA
Alice Ma is a Hong Kong dance artist and choreographer who explores different media in her work. Currently a part-time instructor at City Contemporary Dance Company and the School of Dance of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA), she founded the AMPM Movement Theatre in 2023 and has been actively involved in stage performances.
Ma graduated from the HKAPA with a BFA in Contemporary Dance and Choreography. She was named the ‘Tom Brown Emerging Choreographer’ in the 2020 Hong Kong Dance Awards and won the ‘Award for Young Artist’ in the Hong Kong Arts Development Awards in 2021. Her work Wu was selected for the New Dance for Asia International Festival in Seoul and received a five-star review at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2023. In 2020, her work Over-master was performed in Japan and Singapore and nominated at the Hong Kong Dance Awards.
