CHAT Research Grant

The CHAT Research Grant aims to encourage researchers from around the globe to investigate issues and highlight narratives relating to the textile manufacturing histories of Hong Kong and beyond.

The successful applicant of the grant is entitled to receive a HK$60,000 (Hong Kong Dollars Sixty Thousand) research grant for completing a Research Paper and Presentation to CHAT’s appointed jury by the end of May 2028. CHAT welcomes transregional perspectives and cross-disciplinary approaches that highlight under-discussed narratives in Hong Kong’s textile industrial history.

CHAT invites independent scholars, researchers, archivists, writers and postgraduate students capable of conducting independent research to apply. Selection will be conducted by CHAT’s assigned scholars, professional researchers as well as CHAT’s curatorial team.

Applicants are required to submit a Proposal via email to heritage@mill6chat.org by 13 January 2027, 23:59 HKT (UTC+8). Please refer to the document below for application details.

Ticketing Arrangements on Weekends and Public Holidays

To ensure a safe and pleasant experience for all, CHAT will implement timed admission arrangements on weekends and public holidays until further notice.

Free Ticket distribution begins 30 minutes before each session outside CHAT Shop (G01A). Each person may collect up to 4 tickets. Tickets are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis, while stocks last.

Visiting sessions and ticket distribution times are as follows:

1️⃣ 11:00am – 12:45pm
Distribution starts at 10:30am

2️⃣ 1:00pm – 2:45pm
Distribution starts at 12:30pm

3️⃣ 3:00pm – 4:45pm
Distribution starts at 2:30pm

4️⃣ 5:00pm – 7:00pm
Distribution starts at 4:30pm
