Prewangan Studio

Prewangan Studio was founded in 2020 in Sobontoro Village, Tambakboyo District, Tuban, East Java. It began as a space for casual gatherings and idea exchanges among locals, gradually growing into an open, collective studio working across art, science and technology – rooted in a strong do-it-yourself (DIY) spirit.

Since their first project, Klotekan, a performative sound installation inspired by the tradition of night patrols during Ramadan, Prewangan Studio has been experimenting and connecting with wider communities, participating in events such as the National Culture Week (2023), FKSM (Festival Community New Media Art) in Bengkulu and Lombok, MANIFESTO at the National Gallery of Indonesia, and Biennale Jatim 9.

Prewangan Studio’s current members are Indra Prayhogi, Syaiful Ahmad K, Naim Rifai, Buntas Pradoto, Adek Danang S, Abdul Wahab, Adiansah Toat S, Ilma Yakin, Rolex Sandi, Ryan Nurakhman and Moch Rico P.
