YEUNG Chin

Yeung Chin obtained his MA in Fashion Design from the University of Westminster in 2009. In the same year, he received the YDC Special Mention Award from the Hong Kong Design Centre and showcased his work at the Cheer’s Exhibition at the OXO Tower in London. He was also awarded a top creative prize in the Hong Kong Young Designers’ Contest (YDC) organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council in 2003.

From 2006 to 2008, Yeung worked at Li-Ning, and in 2010, he designed stage cos-tumes for CCDC (City Contemporary Dance Company). In 2013, he held solo exhi-bitions at the Asia Society Gallery and the Hong Kong Heritage Museum.

He later served as Chief Fashion Designer at G2000. Between 2015 and 2017, his collections were presented at major international fashion weeks, including Tokyo, New York, Milan, Paris, Shanghai, and Beijing. In 2015, he was invited to exhibit at the Singapore Design Centre, and in 2017, his collections were featured in pop-up shows at Parco and Isetan stores across Asia.

In 2019, Yeung participated in the K11 Fashion Sound Exhibition, exploring the in-tersection of fashion, sound, and sensory experience. In 2022, he was awarded Social Innovation for Sustainable Communities (SISC), a programme by The University of Hong Kong (HKU) that supports socially driven and sustainability-focused creative initiatives.

Currently, Yeung is a guest lecturer at the Hong Kong Design Institute (VTC) and runs his eponymous fashion brand ‘Yeung Chin’, formerly based at PMQ Hong Kong. Since 2024, he has been based in London, where he is establishing a new de-sign studio to expand his creative practice and presence within the UK fashion scene.
