Poetic Coding Laptop Sleeves

Taeyoon Choi, the Artistic Director of CHAT’s Spring Programme 2021 Interweaving Poetic Code has created this series of laptop sleeves with the students at Ebenezer School and Home for the Visually Impaired and Chemtax (Stoll) Company Limited.  Choi held a series of online workshops guiding the students to write about their houses in a poetic manner, which they translated into HTML and interpreted into graphical form with ASCII coding. These artworks were then knitted by Chemtax into laptop sleeves. Celebrating the unique talents and creativity of the students, this series is available for purchase at CHAT Shop, with part of the products’ proceeds to be given back to the Ebenezer School.

The laptop sleeves come in 5 colours/designs: Black (artist Taeyoon Choi), Red (student Hailey Fong), Blue (student Billy Chen), Yellow (student Hugo Cheung), Grey (student Justin Tao).

Ticketing Arrangements on Weekends and Public Holidays

To ensure a safe and pleasant experience for all, CHAT will implement timed admission arrangements on weekends and public holidays until further notice.

Free Ticket distribution begins 30 minutes before each session outside CHAT Shop (G01A). Each person may collect up to 4 tickets. Tickets are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis, while stocks last.

Visiting sessions and ticket distribution times are as follows:

1️⃣ 11:00am – 12:45pm
Distribution starts at 10:30am

2️⃣ 1:00pm – 2:45pm
Distribution starts at 12:30pm

3️⃣ 3:00pm – 4:45pm
Distribution starts at 2:30pm

4️⃣ 5:00pm – 7:00pm
Distribution starts at 4:30pm
