CHAT 2020 Research Grant
CHAT (Centre for Heritage, Arts and Textile) is pleased to announce the open call for applications for the CHAT 2020 Research Grant of HK$60,000, which will encourage researchers to engage in new ways of narrating Hong Kong’s textile industry.
Applicants are requested to conduct independent research on subjects related to Hong Kong’s textile industry from transregional and/or cross-cultural perspectives that can highlight new narratives. The aim will be to illustrate fresh perspectives on the textile industrial history of Hong Kong.
Applicants are required to submit a research proposal by 30 November, 2019, and the result of the grant award will be announced in March 2020. The successful applicant is expected to produce a research paper of 8,000-12,000 words (footnotes and captions included) on subjects related to Hong Kong’s textile industry.
