In this 4 hour workshop, participants will learn the basic operations of a hand flat knitting machine to create a unique, textured cinch bag. Join us at CHAT Lab for this Lunar New Year inspired session with lush gold and rich red yarns to create the perfect accesory for this beloved family holiday.

The workshop will be hosted by guest instructor Dr Julia Wilmott, a knitwear educator, maker, and researcher originally from the United Kingdom. Throughout the session, Julia will discuss her doctoral research into how pattern and structure created on the knitting machine can be used for sustainability and industrial use, while teaching participants some pro knitting tips!

Experience level: Suitable for participants aged 12 or above; no prior experience required
